Tomorrow Woofgang is going to see his veterinarian. Poor baby has some deep splits in his rear paw pads. It started after the holidays. He had been going to doggie day care more often than usual. We think running crazy on the rubber coated floors combined with colder weather and snow caused it. They aren’t completely healing so we are having him looked at to get some suggestions on how to protect and heal up his feet. Dreading that we may need to try to booties on him. Will update on that after the visit.

Also, he is getting a microchip. Hopefully he’ll never get lost, but if he ever would I’ll feel safer with the extra I.D.
Update 1/30/2012: Woofgang weighed in at 65.4 pounds. The doctor isn’t too concerned about his paws. He just has dry winter skin basically. We’re to keep them moisturized and watch for signs of infection.
